Dell Doubles RAM and HDD Space

The more the merrier is what I would like to say in response to Dell’s recent announcement that it would be doubling both the RAM and hard drive space in its XPS line of desktops. In fact, even the Dimension 9150 line has been upgraded - all for free.

This move is in line with Dell’s aim of preserving “…its market share in high-end, high-margin computers…”, an aim which sparked some rumors earlier.

But in any case, the move is an excellent one for consumers seeking a relatively high-end branded desktop. While a Dell XPS will never be an Alienware, it’s good enough to satisfy most gamers out there.
