As a followup to the media center notebook review roundup a few days back, we have a full review of the Dell XPS M140 media center notebook by PCMag.
The bright and dazzling display, instant-on, plus good battery life of the M140 helped it achieve a Very Good overall rating of 4 out of 5 from PCMag reviewers, even though the notebook didn’t have a dedicated graphics solution.
The bottom line? Well, “The Dell XPS M140 is a solid portable Media Center PC that promises great service and support.” Short and sweet, right?

A recent review roundup by PC Magazine featured three of the best media center laptops available. And not surprisingly, Dell had a strong entry in place, the Dell XPS M140.
The XPS M140 might not have come equipped with all the features one would look for in a media center laptop, including glossy screens, large hard disk drives, dual-layer DVD burners, and built-in TV tuners, but its reasonable price more than made up for it. After all, you could upgrade the XPS M140 to include a TV tuner if you actually need it.
The other two media center notebooks featured were the Toshiba Qosmia G35-AV600 and the HP Pavillion dv5000t.
