Dell’s Brand Strength Falls, But Still No. 1

The most recent TechnoMetrica survey shows that Dell’s No. 1 position on the brand strength chart has continued to weaken. It’s now only at 41% (June), a fall from 48% in May and 55% in April.

Not surprisingly, Apple has been picking up the slack with 16% of those polled stating that they would prefer a Mac if they were to buy a PC in the next 6 months. This is a 10% gain from their mere 6% share in May.

One wonders how Dell will do next month when all the negative PR accumulated this month starts weighing in. Of course, it’s equally likely that Dell’s brand will be bolstered by the recent launch of one2one - its corporate weblog.
