Three Digital Jukebox Players Scrapped
Dell has stopped selling three of its Digital Jukebox hard-drive based MP3 players. While they will still sell the sub-$100 DJ Ditty, the three iPod-alternatives were dropped because they failed to be competitive with… iPods, especially the not-so-recently introduced iPod Nano.
Truthfully, the Digital Jukebox series never had any appeal to me, price or design-wise. So, cutting them off seems to be good news. After all, with Dell branching out so extensively to consumer products, it is inevitable that a few of them would fail. But if you still want to know more about Dell’s Digital Jukebox, read this review on it by PC Magazine. PCMag gave it three out of five stars.
